She was the eldest of four children with three brothers, Edward (Eddie), Dennis and Reginald (Reggie) De Coite. He graduated from Washington Union High School in Fremont and joined the U.S. Marines at age 17. Kim was married for 17 years to her loving husband, Rich Brooks and had two children, Ariana and Colton whom she adored. He grew up in Texas and married Dolly Fay Sorge (Dorothy) in April, 1944 at the young age of 18. Pleasanton, California. She was born in Newport, Rhode Island on March 17, 1925 to Frederick Charles Hayes and Florence May McKenzie. Alan attended the University of Wisconsin and received a BS, an MS, and a PhD in Agricultural and Food Science. She talked, listened, and doted on them. After basic training, he was sent to Germany as a psychiatric/social worker. He passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side. Matthew Michael Lyon died unexpectedly Friday evening, July 27, 2012 while hiking to meet Boy Scouts from Troop 820 as they completed a 30-mile backpacking trip on the Pacific Crest Trail. Don was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
